A couple more from my beautiful hometown of Southern California. I sometimes complain about living here, especially come tax time, but then scenes like these remind me of why it costs so damn much to live in this state.

BTW, I really need to turn my camera the other way sometimes. LOL :scratch

Great views. I had no idea the government used tax dollars to build the wonderful ocean / coast scenes.

Maybe Arizona should think about doing the same thing. ne_nau.gifdunnone_nau.gif

This is El Matador State Beach in Malibu. It's just north of Kanan Road and PCH. There are several State Beaches along that section of PCH. All just a a mile or so apart. Some really nice rock formations, bluffs and tide pools. Just don't leave anything valuable in your car when you park.

I've been going to these spots to surf since I was kid and I've seen many cars broken into. They're petty thieves so as long as you don't leave anything visible, your car is safe. Actually, the day I took this photos, there was a car parked when I arrived with a bashed in window. I asked the couple people down on the beach about it and found the owner. A couple that left a nice camera inside. It got stolen.

I guess not Sam. But I don't think my tax rates are going to change anytime soon unless I start living in a tent on the beach.

Great pics - El Matador is great. Of the two, I think #1 is the best but they're both good.

I remember once upon a time we could take our dog there before the county law man changed that. La Piedra and El Pascador are also great nearby beaches.

Yeah... it is sad that dogs are no longer allowed on Los Angeles County beaches. Not even on a leash. It's pretty ridiculous. Recently they tried to ban throwing footballs and Frisbee on the beach. I'm not sure that ordinances made it. headscratch.gif

I've shot El Pescador. I have yet to shoot La Piedra. Been there many times, just never to shoot. May go soon though.
