For some reason, my autofocus was not happy with this situation. :wink
I know the pose and all is certainly not the best but, oh, I do so love Cardinalis cardinalis in the snow. This juvenile male managed to stay well buried in the sticks. Hope you enjoy it anyway.

Soooo Sick of the snow! Just can't wait for spring. You have to be quick and patient at the same time with those Cardinals. Mine don't stick around long.

Heck, this was shot in the spring. In Virginia no less. But I know what you mean. It snowed like heck here on Sunday, the 30th. What's with that? Still and all, cardinals in the snow are drop-dead gorgeous aren't they?

John, Cardinals in the snow are just beautiful! And I am going to keep this photo to enjoy even more when summer in the south rolls around! Thanks for posting. Best, Pam
