SmugMug - Google Analytics - IP Anonymization

Hi there!

Is there any way to use Google Analytics with IP anonymization (anonymizelp feature) on my SmugMug-site? German law does not allow tracking of IP addresses.

    Hi Bernd,

    SmugMug counts views of your photos and pages. We do not disclosure, which IP address have visited your site.

    Are you talking about Google Analytics which is activated on my SmugMug site as soon as I enter a Web Property ID in Account Settings -> Stats -> Google Analytics? Does this mean, SmugMug uses the anonymizelp feature which is provided by the ga.js JavaScript library?

    Bernd,

    If you do not want to track your visitors - then you just do not activate Google Analytics or Statcounter on your account. Google Analytics and Statcounter is optional and you do not have to use it.
