These are both folders - I clicked on the wrench and the container size icon and customized them the same but they show up differently!

and this:

Can anyone explain this?

Well the first page is displaying folders and is using the 3:2 aspect ratio.

The second page is displaying galleries and is using the 2:3 aspect ratio

Geesh - a bit of brain freeze on the aspect ratio (which I've fixed, thanks) ... however they are both folders according to the organizer and that's the way I set it up - folder (galleries), folder (nature), gallery (butterflies) etc. ... I've selected large for the thumbnails which works on the first folder but not on the second ...

Both of the pages are folders. But the first page is displaying folders, while the second is displaying galleries. Those are using different sizes for the thumbs even though both are set to be Large. Large for those boxes is different. But a simple fix is to swap out the separate folders and galleries box for a single "Folders, Galleries, and Pages" box. With that you shouldn't need to make the one page custom, they could all use the same settings.

Wow - thank you Eric! Easy fix ...

Now how do I get rid of those folder icons that show up next to the text under the thumbnails???

One more question for you guys (you've been extremely helpful!):

Under Galleries, Nature, Butterflies - butterflies is a gallery but when I go to customize it I see a block titled "on all galleries" with "no items found" and another block titled "on all galleries" with my photos but just a wrench which only allows me to change gallery styles ... I don't understand why and I don't understand how to get my photos into a proper customizable gallery ...

    Can you help?

That box with the No Items Found is a Folders, Galleries, and Pages content block. And as you have that set to display items from the current location, there are no folders, galleries, or pages at that location since a gallery is the bottom of the stack. Which is why it shows like that.
