We will be spending our Christmas and New Years at Disney. Im curious what manual settings are the best for shooting Christmas lights on the 300D.

Is it better to use no flash? an external flash? Or what's the best way to go?

Thanks in advance.

    Missy,

My only suggestions are to try to shoot these lit up areas within an hour after sunset. The difference in the sky and the lights isn't as great so you can nicely capture the shadowed areas as well as the bright lights thumb.gif Also, I hope you are bringing a beanbag or something else to stabilize the camera, as night shots are usually longer exposures. If you have an external flash it might be kewl to experiment with lighting up your subject in front of some nice Xmas or other lights (like the Castle in Fantasyland).

Have fun and please share what you capture :D
