"hide Owner" gallery showing in "recent"

On my recent galleries page
http://www.photosbyat.com/Recent-Gallery-Changes
there is one gallery showing that is set to "hide owner"
Its' a duplicate of "Bird Videos" created by Smug and named "test by helpdesk"

There's also a bunch of passworded galleries showing which should only show when logged in.
See in both FF and IE although I only log in with FF.

Edit: they even show in Safari which I've never logged in.

    Allen,

    The 'test by helpdesk' gallery is set as inherit public. So it would be public. It would need to be set to unlisted.

    The one passworded gallery I see 'Easter' is also public. Only unlisted galleries would be hidden.

    Why is it showing in "recent"? Other then when it was first created by Smug I haven't touched it.
    In fact, a lot of the galleries showing haven't been touched.

    Edit: almost every gallery shown does not make sense for "recent".

    The test gallery is a smart gallery and therefore updates automatically whenever something regarding its rule changes. You can just delete it if you don't need it.

    In regards to other galleries that don't have smart rules set and that you didn't move photo to or from, keep in mind that galleries also get updated if you make other changes, like adjust gallery settings.

    Ah, that explains why I've never been able to use "recent" - I think of recent as recently added galleries, never understood why recent included old galleries too.

    If you want a list of galleries that have recently had new photos added to them, consider my custom Activity Feed widget:

    http://www.sherlockphotography.org/Customisations/Activity-feed

    It would look like this:

    That's cool, thanks.

    Text only shows about half way across my 960px wide box. Any suggestions?
    Edit: found width under Display tab.

    Testing bottom of this page.

    Next to figure out is why the feed content is going real narrow on iPhone. About 62px wide.

    Odd, I couldn't work out where the CSS was coming from that causes that. But here's a fix:
    .sm-page-widget-feed .sm-feed,
    .sm-page-widget-feed .sm-feed .sm-feed-item {
    	width:100% !important;
    }

    That worked, thanks.

    Another annoyance, every gallery click opens in a new browser not in current window.

    <a id="yui_3_8_0_1_1396446077940_1713" href="gallery link" target="_blank"></a>

    I have to click my mouse wheel to open in another tab and keep in current browser.

    That must be a very curious browser, everybody seems to be on the "new window = new tab" bandwagon these days. Sure, I've removed that code now.

    I'm using Firefox v28.
    I have "Open new windows in new tab instead" not checked. Links on pages just go to the new link.
    In Dgrin links open in new browser, good because when checking linked site with WebDev I don't want it in a tab.

    Thanks Lamah - I much prefer pages to open in the same tab unless I request that a new page should be used. I don't think a new page/tab should be opened without a request from the viewer.

    Just FYI. One thing leads to another. I placed another html box above the feed box and used floats in it.
    On my phone (Screenfly) the feeds content was off the right of the screen. I had to clear the floats in this.
    .sm-page-widget-feed .sm-feed,
    .sm-page-widget-feed .sm-feed .sm-feed-item {
      width:100% !important;
      clear:both;
    }

    Ah, I think that's a timezone issue; my code re-interprets the times as GMT. What timezone are you in...?

    Central Daylight Savings Time. -6 GMT at the moment. :D
    Or is that -5 GMT CDST and -6 Central Standard Time?

    Okay, the timezone now defaults to New York time (Eastern) instead of GMT. You can change to a different timezone by adding a &timezone= parameter to the end of the feed URL:
    http://smugedit.com/activitylog/?url=http://www.photosbyat.com/&timezone=America/Chicago

    The recommended timezone names to use for American timezones are on the right-hand column of this list:
    Eastern ........... America/New_York
    Central ........... America/Chicago
    Mountain .......... America/Denver
    Mountain no DST ... America/Phoenix
    Pacific ........... America/Los_Angeles
    Alaska ............ America/Anchorage
    Hawaii ............ America/Adak
    Hawaii no DST ..... Pacific/Honolulu

    Or if you're in the mind for something more exotic, you can pick from the full list here:

    Left it on default as NY looks ok but Chi throws it off. Think DST is messing it up.

    Hm, are you trying to make it longer, or shorter? Because if I set maxdays to 1, I get just 1 day displaying:

    http://smugedit.com/activitylog/?url=http://www.photosbyat.com/&maxdays=1

    Note that the feed is based on the last 500 uploads, so it'll never show activity older than those photos.

    It's showing about a months time. Actually dropped 2-3 uploads for the earliest day (only one shows now)
    getting the time set. Been trying to make it longer.

    Whoops, looks like SmugMug actually restricts that feed to 200 items long. I could probably extend it further but I suspect that would not be a good idea for loading time nor load on SM's servers (it already takes multiple seconds to generate, so).

    I still can't get the timezone to show correct, tried from Pacific to East coast and all show the same.
    I'm in America/Chicago daylight zone.

    Last three uploads (Smug stats page)
    2014-04-07 14:55:34 PST
    2014-04-07 14:54:38 PST
    2014-04-07 14:53:23 PST

    But the last two are splitting off for all those timezones.

    8 April, 2014
    Added 2 photos to Birds > 2013 Birding > Birding 2013 October > 2013 10 28 RMBS
    7 April, 2014
    Added 11 photos to Birds > 2013 Birding > Birding 2013 October > 2013 10 28 RMBS

    http://www.photosbyat.com/Recent-Gallery-Changes
    Currently set to America/Denver
    As that resolved the date split for 2014 04 06 RMBS CBCA
