Pros and Cons of Menu selection and Breadcrumbs. I have both and either way go where I want. Seems like I don't need both. I am sure it's a personal decision, but wanted comments one vs the other

I have both too. As I user, I think using the top nav gets you were you want. Once "in" breadcrumbs are a nice feature to "get back". I think using breadcrumbs is a good thing for both viewers and SEO. SEO-wise I think it may help search engines dig into your site more.

I find that many people who are not using a breadcrumb have sites that are not friendly to navigate. The menu leads down multiple levels to a gallery. If the viewer wants to see other galleries in the same folder they either need to use the back button in the browser (potentially multiple times if the gallery they are viewing has multiple pages) or they need to go back to the menu item and select the multiple levels again. I think the breadcrumb is helpful in allowing viewers to wander through a site.

This sums it up very well for me. I have breadcrumbs too, and I wouldn't remove them.
