Dedra and I shot this over a span of two days at various locations around Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. A D700, 50 1.8 and 85 1.8 were used with off camera flash from a sb-800 and sb-700.

    That's a very nice series....

Were you using any reflectors, or just the strobes? How were they modified if at all?

I didn't use reflectors. The sb-800 had a lumiquest ltp softbox as main, and I had the built in diffuser of the sb-700 pulled over the flash head for fill light.

Thanks!, She has gotten into photography as a hobby and is pretty enthusiastic about the whole process.

She looks like a really fun person, and photographs well.
On the closeups her skin could benefit from a bit of work, smoothing, dark spots etc.....no big deal, just give the girl a break :). Clean up some of the hot spots from the lights on her face.
4 5 9 are my favorites...but really I like them all. They are all well set up and the lighting is a little inconsistent, to my eye anyway, better in some than others 5 and 9 are good examples of a nice mix.

Thanks, this was an experiment session with lighting and editing. I'm trying to get a careful balance with lighting and post processing. When I showed her the proof gallery with just basic edits she thought it was final edits. This set I was trying to go with minimal PP so I may need to go back and do a bit more.
