Mini-Challenge #185 - The Beatles

First off, thank you to Earache for selecting my photo from MC 184.
Lots of fines photos in that challenge.

On to the new mini.

As I'm sure many of you know, the Beatles celebrated their 50th anniversary of crossing the pond.
Your challenge is to find or take a photo that relates to one of their recording's title.
(original and cover songs)

Your list is right here. THE LIST

Good luck, and have some fun with this. If you see a photo that you think someone did a great job on, let them know about it.

The Mini starts now, and runs through April 11th at 6:00 PM Central Daylight Savings Time.
This will be a quick hitter, so enter early.

Enjoy your mini.

The regular stuff.

********************************************************************* *****

OUR UN-OFFICIAL GENERAL RULES
1. Have fun sharing and seeing what others share!
2. The host supplies a topic and YOU POST 1-3 IMAGES. The host judges the winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd) and is not eligible to enter. The 1st place winner becomes the next host, chooses the next topic and becomes the next judge.
3. Any photo you’ve taken is eligible, regardless of when taken or camera used.
4. Any amount of post-processing is allowed. However, it is helpful if you list your camera and lens along with your photo.
5. You may comment on other contestant's images. If you want someone to leave you some critique or criticism, just ask within your post.
6. The winner has up to three days (72 hours) to begin a new mini-challenge, or the honor goes to the #2 finisher and so forth.

IMPORTANT: ENTRIES DUE NO LATER THAN... Friday, April 11, 2014 @ 6:00 pm CDST.

Guidelines:
1. Enter 1-3 photos and put them in a single post.
2. Either embed your image in the thread or, if you must, supply a link to it. Keep in mind, however, most people don't want to click to open photos hosted elsewhere (i.e. on your website).
3. Also try and resize your photos prior to posting so they're sized appropriately for viewing without having to scroll (~800 pixels on the longest side works best.)
4. Give each image you enter a title.
5. Enjoy discussion with members about their images, don't let this just be an entry thread!
6. When quoting a post, change the IMG urls to a 200x200 size picture so it is clear your post is feedback and not another entry. (See here for help).
7. Don't be hesitant; share 'em and enter!

Mini-Challenge pointers:
1. Upon winning a mini-challenge round, your first step is coming up with a new theme and starting a new thread using the same format as others have used.
2. Make sure to notify the admin of this thread to update the main thread links with your entry thread.
3. Feel free to watch the thread as it grows or wait to the end time and look at all the entries all at once.
4. After the time/date has passed, then officially close the thread with a single post notifying everyone of the fact.
5. After you're finished judging, start a new thread (again using the prior formats) and post your Winner and runners-up. It is important to have runners up in case the winner does not show within the 72-hour window.
6. PM the winner with this info above and let them know they have 72 hours to set up the next mini-challenge.
7. If the winner does not show/start the next mini-challenge after 72 hours, notify the next runner-up and post a message on the Winner thread of the fact.
8. Remember, if you're the Winner, you run the next mini challenge!

Examples.

I liked the Beatles but I was not really a big big fan because they were after my time. 50 years ago I had graduated college, married and had two children and was living in California, far from all the hoopla

I liked their songs, but on looking at the list that was given, I felt I should look up some of the lyrics to see what they actually said. The lyrics do not really follow what the title says IMHO

    rWkk3Rx_8t1bb6WRyr_GAMV7ZybRtGRhYfIcLqH_8wfe=w270-h400

This is either "Twist and Shout" or "Little Child".

    Little child, little child
Little child, won't you dance with me?
    I'm so sad and lonely
Baby take a chance with me

(It is actually my grandson dancing with his aunt (my daughter) at my other daughter's wedding)

Next I thought I could do "Watching Rainbows", but I really don't have any standing in a garden. to watch a rainbow.

This is the best rainbow one that would illustrate Watching Rainbows. I have better rainbow photos, but most of them are from cruise ships or at least on the water which is not in the spirit of the lyrics. This was NOT originally an entry. I did not have four entries.

    x0603-00340001.jpg

And I do have a yellow submarine photo but it was taken from a distance with a point and shoot film camera back in 2000

    001215-1045444-001.jpg

I can't see very well now as I had a cataract operation yesterday and my vision is still blurry even with glasses. I've just deleted all the topics from my subscribed page by accident. So I may find better one of this.

    -
This is not an entry because I have been told that the mini is only about the titles and not about the lyrics, so I have moved it to the 'no entry' position.

    Dave -

I'm really going to enjoy seeing what everyone comes up with for this.

This is not an "entry" but simply one that fits your theme . . .

We are off to a good start.

GrandmaR, this isn't about the lyrics, it's about the title.
My example of Rocky Raccoon shows that.
Your shot doesn't have to represent the song, just the title.
    And remember, 3 entries.

Kscooper, you'll have to help me out with that one. Onion Glass???

    Anyways, keep the shots comings.
    One week to go.

Since I know neither the titles nor the lyrics of the songs, it was not at all obvious to me that you were just illustrating the titles. But I have taken the lyrics one out, and put in the one that I thought did not illustrate the lyrics very well.
