    That's a nice shot. Certainly a female, but are you sure it's a hairy and not a downy? The bill looks too short and delicate to me for it to be a hairy. The angle makes it hard to be certain.

    Though you can't tell from its profile it's beak is about the same size as it's head. AFAIK the downy has the shorter beak. I posted a different profile maybe this will help.12800729504_c08abd4857_c.jpg

    I didn't know that and that does make it easy. Thanks for that. So I was right the first two are the Hairy and the last one is the downy.

    Agreed! A year ago when I started out self teaching I listened to the experienced what I was doing wrong and applying that in the field.Trail and error but I put everything into with heart an soul.Laughing.gif. Like even in sports you have to have a lot of heart we have to be able to take constructive criticism otherwise all the talent in the world may not do any good.
