Minimum Image Size?

I'm trying to use custom icons for social networking sites. The icons are 16x16. When I upload them, they get resized. Is there a work around to hosting these tiny icons and using them on my site?

I tried hosting them elsewhere, but they do not appear. Is hotlinking prohibited?

Ignore the hotlinking question. Looks like Google Chrome is throwing a hissy fit.

What file type are you using? And how are you uploading them?

SmugMug does not show .ico files as a supported file type. I suspect you will need to upload these to another site (maybe Goggle Drive or Dropbox or a similar site) and reference them from your smug site.

Or maybe you could try them as .png files. You would need to upload them into a gallery with originals enabled and reference the original. (I don't know if this will work, just thinking out loud.)
