Took a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway on Saturday to play with the new 5D Mk3. I like it...

Pretty... nice layers and "blue ridges".
Congrats on the 5D3 - it is a fine machine.

Man, I wish I had a dollar for every time I've pulled myself out on a ledge to marvel at sights like this one. I see early signs, John, that you're falling prey to the lore of the Appalachians....the Southern Appalachians, no less. Yes sir, John the 'mountain man'. Got a nice ring to it.

I'm excited about your new gear. That means, I hope, that we'll be seeing more work from you. I sure like this shot.thumb.gif

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Thank you all very much. I think this may end up on the wall.

I think they sucked me in, Tom! It's a beautiful area, and beyond the photo ops, I really enjoy visiting. This weekend I was down the south end of the BRP and into Great Smoky Mountain NP again, just amazing to see.
