Hi,
As I said in another post I'm shooting headshots for the cast of "The Mousetrap". I don't know if it's really high priority so I tried to get at least five shots of the actors who were there today for rehersal. Tell me what you think. I used different black and white conversions for them and I would like to know your opinions.
Thanks,

I like the second one -- shows lots of personality, and the last one as well. Can't say I'm very fond of the "up against a brick wall" shots.

I'd pull them away from the wall, use a wide aperture to blur out the background.

Engage with them a bit to bring out some personality.

I have to agree, that wall is a problem and the second shot and the shot of you which don't show it work the best by far.

I think only those two shots really have adequite tonal range through the faces.
    If not now, when?

    Thanks guys,
Rutt, I used your suggestion about taking the blue or the green channel for the last one and just tweaking it. Thanks,
Maybe you can just spot that techique from miles away ;).

P.S.- Does just getting rid of the brick wall like this help?
