I usually find a reason to appreciate B&W first... but I'm really liking the color ones this time Don.
The moment you captured in #1 is a wonderful time-of-day in the desert.
Thanks, Eia. I've learned to be careful around cholla and--knock knock--I've never been stuck yet. There's a stand near New River that's over my head, and I'm not short, and I've been in the middle of it, barblessly.
Nicely done. Number 2 seems a little bit cluttered to my eye, but I guess you can't exactly clear some breathing room at the bottom of the frame in that kind of brush. B&W is a good call on 3, although, I would like to see the color version 2. I went into a local art shop nearby recently (I live in a 'constructed' so-called arts district), and the photographic prints for sale there were so blah and mundane and poorly executed it drove me crazy, but they were all of 'classic' southwest themes so i suppose the tourists buy them. Yours would have them beat hands down though.
JC, thanks for the comments and for the kind words. I agree that number 2 might be a little less busy, but you're correct that I had few options. As for number three, the clouds and the sun washed out the colors to the point that it seemed better to jettison them altogether.

christinaroberts, thank you. I had a difficult time with the third one so I'm pleased that you like it.
