Ipad issues with submenu

Hi!

I have a site with a top menu row and one of the menu items (Galleries) have a submenu. For some reason the main menu name, i.e. Galleries, is also showing up at the top of the submenu, which is confusing and not present on my PC. Anyone knows if there is a way to correct this on the iPad ...?

Thanks

So I'm not 100% as I don't think I've seen it before. But I think the issue is because your "galleries" link has a link to it. But it can't use that and be clickable for the dropdown. So it's giving you a second link so that both functions will work.

Thanks Smug Eric, yes it seems that is the likely be the reason.

    Thanks again

I'm having the same problem and I'm a bit confused about Smug Eric's reply. On my home page I have a nav bar with one of the entries being Projects (galleries in the original question I guess). Projects is a folder which has my various projects in subfolders. In settings I have to have a link to Projects or it disappears from the nav bar. I can't think anyplace else its linked.

So the problem is that everything works fine on my mac. If I click on Projects in the navbar I see the subfolders as I want them. But if I go to my iPad and tap on Projects in the navbar I get all the subfolders plus the word Projects above the subfolders as though it was itself a subfolder. How do i get rid of the subfolder link to Projects when I tap on the navbar on my iPad?

    Thanks

Yeah the problem is your Projects link point to your http://ericperlberg.smugmug.com/Projects page. So what you will want to do not have that link to your page. You will need to have that as just text then add the sublinks manually. But as the projects links to a page and you don't have a mouse to hover over it when you select it it takes you to the link instead of opening the sublinks when you select it.

    Hi Eric,

I recently made some changes to my menu/navbar and am experiencing the same issue when my site is viewed on an iPad. My site is: http://www.steveknightphoto.com and the "Portfolio" link on the navbar is where I have the problem. Can you walk me through your fix with a little more detail? I am not quite understanding how and where to add the text and the sub-links manually.

    Thanks!

    Steve,

Here is what I suggest you do to make the Portfolio link on your site not click to go anywhere.

customize > customize site > hover over the menu bar > click the wrench icon > links tab > click on the link to edit > link to custom url > leave the url box blank > done

Now when people click on that it will not take them to a page. Only the submenus underneath it will take you to a specific link.
