At first I liked this one. It was a long shot on goal that the goalkeeper tipped over the bar, and I liked the "roostertail" of turf rubber coming off her trailing foot.

Then I looked a little closer. Oh, my. Never to see the light of day . . . except here :D See, a high school boy would have made sure all his friends saw a shot of him like this. A girl would have been mortified.

I too always make sure I look real close at the pictures of the girls in action . . . it saves me from saying later "I'm sorry, I didn't see that in the shot".

One great piece of info I got from another experienced photographer was that its not a good idea to shoot a girls basketball game sitting on the floor under the basket. Girls are not too fond of "up the nose shots".

Yes, Phil, I suppose so. I got some better shots of her throughout the game though, so not worth the trouble. Thanks for the feedback!

For sure. And the absolute worst thing you can do is publish a shot of a "ripply" thigh. :nono

Yeah, those 'cottage cheese' thighs show up all the time, even in the most conditioned athletes. It's one of the first things I look for in a shot. I've never thought to check the snot shot though. I will now!

My favorite adjustment brush in Lightroom is 100% negative clarity on thighs. thumb.gif
I don't think there's an equivalent "snot brush."
