Interesting glimpse of a far-away place and culture...
I like 2,3, and especially 10... really wish the subject in 5 was eyes-open and perhaps looking.
Since we're talking/thinking about Vivian Maier, the portraits seem in that style - it's making me re-evaluate my aversion to eye-contact.

Love them. Thanks for the visual trip.

I had nine months of Chinese language instruction while in the USAF - many years ago.

If memory serves correct - Nanjing translates to "South Capital" and it is located on the Yangtze, which translates as the "Yellow River".

I traveled to Hong Kong once but that is as close as I got to being in China.

    How was the food?

You are correct about Nanjing and the Yangtze.

I tried sandworms, grubs and live shrimp. I can't say they were bad but the roast pork and the noodles were a lot better.
