House Finch with beak deformity

This poor little fellow appears to have a beak deformity. It's not terribly bad so I don't think it will effect his ability to eat.

    Just realized when looking closer he has more than a beak deformity. Look at his feet.

    Yep. He has a problem. I've never seen that yellow/orange color phase either, though I know it's not unheard of. Nice set.

    #2 is precious! Love the silver-jewelry type pattern from the bush or tree as well! I have seen this colored bird before.....was too far, could get anything useful! Cheers!

    Very interesting--I wonder what happened to him. Once I photographed a Roseate Spoonbill, and when I got the shot up on my computer, I saw that there were matching holes in his bill, top and bottom, like someone shot him. Yet he otherwise looked healthy and was seemed to be getting along fine. I wonder if something attacked your bird as a chick, and it somehow escaped? Best, Pam
