After leaving the Manassas Air Show, I headed over to Gravelly Point Park, which lets you get up close and personal with traffic going into National Airport.

This one almost turned out the way I envisioned it...

More great stuff, John. Thanks for the treat.

I really like how you've done your website. Very professional....and chock-full of exceptional photography. I see you've even included some nice work centered around your new Southern heritage.

    Take care, my friend,

    Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Thank you very much! Tom, I really appreciate the kind words on my web site. Hope I get the chance to add to it with you this summer.

I am truly surprised how sharp these images are with only 1/320 or 1/250 shutter speed! Are these hand held? First and last one are my favorites! Golden light adds to the last one! Everything is in focus too! Clouds are perfect! May I know what f-stop you used? Thanks.

Stumblebum, these were all shot a f/7.1 and yes, they are all hand held, using a Canon 100-400mm L/IS on a 5D3.
