I am new. I love natural light portraits. Since I am learning how to work with the light I'd appreciate your opinion about this portrait of my father.

    pretty decent for candid portrait. one thing..you missed focus on the eyes. you probably had the aperture wide open which means very shallow DOF. put your camera on single site focus and put that over his eye.

    I like it. Suggest you crop out the brightest parts of far left (so the photo tapers into darkness over there) and maybe crop in just a bit from the right to move him further from center.
