Individual Prices for Photos within same Gallery

In the Legacy Smugmug, couldn't one could price photos individually within a Gallery?

Correct me if I am wrong... I thought you had the ability to price photos within a gallery at different prices that were different from the overall price(s) set when you set up within the same gallery.

In the New Smugmug, Is there any way to set up a new gallery price and also have a select number of pictures within the same gallery set at a different pricing schedule? To date, I am unable to find any way to do this?

If you are on a business level plan then yes you can. If you go into the Set Prices option under the customize menu the first option is for setting the galleries pricelist. The second option is for setting the selected photos pricelist.

I have a 'Pro' account and I have different price lists based on size. I don't set my price list based on gallery. So I have different formats on one gallery, like 2:3, 4:5, 1:2 etc all in one gallery.

When I switched to the new SM, it converted automatically, so I can't remember how I did it.

I have a Pro Account. Does that mean I cannot set individual prices? I started with PRO account, and I am not sure what account class I am in after the change?

When I go to the customize menu, there is only one option for pricelist, and that is for the entire gallery that is being viewed at the time. There is no other option for "selected Photos"... so I guess that I have been placed in the "Portfolio" plan. I do not have any need for the extra perks for the Business Plan, so I will stay with the Portfolio plan, but I would like to see the ability to set selected prices within a gallery in the Portfolio plan.

Unless you changed your account, you still have a 'Pro' account. So, you CAN set individual images/prices.

If you only have one Price List, you need to create a new one.

Under the legacy smugmug, after uploading photos of (for example) a "home team" Baseball Championship, I could easily set the prices for the entire Gallery at my price for the Home Team, and I could then price some selected photos, for example the other team, and a different price, thereby not having to set up two galleries to show the same game or championship event. With the new smugmug, this is not possible. Or I could select some photos, for NFS, for viewing only.

I don't have two different galleries with two prices. I can select individual images within the gallery and select a price list. ne_nau.gif

The old Pro account quite a while ago to two different levels, Portfolio and Business. The old "Pro" pricing is equivalent to a Portfolio-level account.

You can only have multiple pricelists active with a Business account. If you have a Portfolio account you can only have one pricelist active at a time so you wouldn't be able to price individual photos in a gallery.

Do you have a Portfolio or Business-level account?

I forgot about that change. I still call it 'Pro'....with all of the bells and whistles. rolleyes1.gif

I was trying to find how to change a price list for an individual image, but can't find it (for my own knowledge). headscratch.gif

It seems a bit funky to me...

Go into Manage Pricelists, Edit the pricelist you want to assign to individual photos, click on the single photos box below "THIS PRICELIST IS APPLIED TO", and select the photos to associate with that pricelist.

Also if it is a SmugMug style gallery where you can have a selected image you can select the Set Prices option under the Customize menu and it will have a place for you to assign the selected image to a pricelist.

It would be really nice if that ability was extended to the lightbox.

Another one of those "hidden" Smugmug things. Maybe it's just me, but trying to find things in Smugmug is way too difficult. rolleyes1.gif

I found it though, thanks. thumb.gif
