Wow! Closer and closer! Prettier and prettier too!
How are you getting them to pose? I never see one even pause long enough to allow me to get within 2 feet!

I didn't get it to pose it was just sitting on a camellia bush in the garden. The weather was a bit windy and cool and the butterfly was just not too bothered about me. I did wonder if it had only recently emerged from it's pupa. It did eventually fly off.
I find flying bugs very variable on how approachable they are. It obviously depends on weather to some extent but also depends on the bug itself.
