I have tried to make a new gallery and copy this code into the description area like on the original, but the link keeps being stripped from the code...

I gave up and added an HTML block.

Yeah, I added that to a testing page and gallery and it worked for me. A link would be nice....

Thanks for trying. I gave up as I posted above... it worked fine in an html box
