White Pelicans

I heard about some white pelicans hanging out on the Rock River in Oregon IL, so I headed over today to check them out. There had to be at least 100 of them. Here's a couple of shots I nabbed....I'm still working on the rest.

I used my Canon 7D w/Canon 300L F/4 IS.

I have never seen them around here before, it was pretty cool.

    Cool shots. Tough lighting on the flight shot but nice and sharp. My sister lives on the Rock River I'll have to ask her if she's seen any. She's in Moline though.

    The bright white sky along with white birds wasn't ideal. rolleyes1.gif

    Nice! I would rotate both of them slightly left to kind of straighten the horizon. JMO.
