Baffling slideshow issues

Hello everyone,

Trying to get my new Smugmug site up to speed and I'm running into some baffling issues. In the legacy site, I had an unlisted gallery that contained my slideshow pictures. In the new version, I decided to use the background slideshow on the homepage and pointed it to use keywords instead of a gallery. This doesn't appear to be working. I've tagged several pics with the "slideshow" keyword and they just don't show up. It is still showing those collection of images from the old gallery. Here's where it gets weird: I deleted the gallery that contained my slideshow pics, and somehow those now migrated to one of my other galleries. And I can't delete them from that gallery! The delete option is grayed out just for those slideshow pics. The rest of the images that belong in that folder are fine.

I'm stumped and hoping someone here can help.

Thanks!
Rich

I think I figured out why I can't delete the pics. They are collected pics. The problem is, the remove option isn't there so I can't delete them from that gallery!

Is it from a smart gallery setting or did you individually collect the images to that gallery? If it's a smart gallery setting then you will need to change the setting. If it was collected individually then there should be a link there to uncollect it.

It was a smart gallery. Here's the problem, I never set the gallery to be a smart gallery. It did it on its own when I upgraded my site.

I was able to fix everything by removing the smart gallery settings, but it was a head scratcher for awhile.
