Raw Shooter Premium is the converter I use the most. I like the speed and workflow that it offers. It took me a while to get to trust the colours produced, but I'm getting there.

It was a close run thing between RSP and Capture One Lite when I made my latest RAW investment. I actually prefer the pro version of C1 more than either, but I wasn't going to spend too much on this.

I have a few others in my toolbag as well:

Bibble Pro - second most used. There was a new release this week. I have not tried it out yet.

Adobe Camera Raw - use from time to time, I'm not really thrilled with it.

Nikon Capture - haven't used for ages

Raw Magick - I try every new beta version, but I've never really gotten to grips with this program.

If money were no object I'd be using Capture One Pro as my converter. As it is, RSP with Bibble in reserve and I'm doing OK. (I'm still not 100% sure that I shouldn't have bought C1 lite however).

    Why? Have you used either?

You'll a good number of RS and ACR users.

I just love RSE for prioritizing and pruning pics. The agility of the user interface is superb, better by far than any other product I have used. RSE runs much faster on my machine than ACR in CS2 and seems to do what I need. I have only been shooting RAW for a couple of months, so I will be interested in hearing what more experienced people have to say.

    Cheers,

Just curious which is more flexible and does more. ne_nau.gif
I have both......RAW Shooter Premium 2006 sure looks like the ticket!

But then again looks isn't everything. :D

If I remember past postings I have seen at various places RSE is the most used.
Then again I wasn't worried about RAW then so I didn't pay it much attention.umph.gif

I prefer C1 Pro......but..... Adobe Camera RAW is wonderful and RSE is superb as well. Pick one and learn it from cover to cover.

    Another vote for RawShooter here.

I'm not convinced that one will necessarily give better results than the other -- I think user ability is a bigger variable here. But I much prefer the workflow and speed of RawShooter.

I've used Capture One LE, Adobe CR (CS2), RSE and RSP. I like RSP quite a bit better than the other onse.

It seems faster than ACR, easier to organize and the workflow is faster for me. Has cropping, both levels, Curves, and a nice Vibrance tool and more.

While I feel RSP works best for me, I do feel that you can get excellent results with any of the above.

    I use DPP, ACR, RSPw/CE and C1L.
I spend a lot of time running images through each one.I found its a mix bag. Each of the programs has its strong/weak points with different images.
    Which one I likene_nau.gif1drink
    All but ACR
RSE is good and it was free.Dont know if it remains that way.

Does anyone think that RSP might be available 3rd party anytime soon? (Amazon, etc.)

RSP is a small download (7.3 megs). I kinda doubt it'll be available third-pary. There isn't much reason for it to be.
