Hi, this is my favourite shot from my recent trip to Tasmania - Rocky Bay at Cockle Creek - which is the furthest south you can get to by car in Australia. Managed to walk to Fishers Point before the heavens opened.

Thanks for looking in - C&C always appreciated.

Cheers, Richard.

Another good one, Richard. I can see why you like it.

    Take care,

    Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Hi Evan, thanks for looking in and commenting. I had a look at your website - I think this area of SE Tasmania would give you a plethora of opportunities for your photography.

    Cheers, Richard.

Hi, water temperature is probably 20 deg C lower than in the Caribbean - but I agree with you - looks inviting :D

    Cheers, Richard.

Hi Tom, It is the location that really gets me - it is so remote. I imagine the likes of Abel Tasman / William Bligh / James Cook sailing these waters as early as 1642 and looking at an identical scene before anchoring at Adventure Bay on Bruny Island to replenish their supplies of food and water. As well as the local aborigines who would have walked this beach for thousands of years looking for shell fish on the rocks.
I showed it to a local artist, Judy Antill, she said she was going to do a painting of it - very chuffed :D

    Cheers, Richard.

Hi, thanks for looking in and your positive feedback - a case of right place right time as the rain soon got to me and the lighting was lost.

    Cheers, Richard.
