Levels of Access

We are a large organization looking to use SMUGMUG as our photo repository. The photos would need to be protected from outside view and download, but available for our internal users to upload/download.

Then we would like to only give Administrator access to some of our users. The assistant password option would still allow those users to change settings on our site, which we'd like to avoid. The guest upload option would work for that portion of request. But still looking for an easy way for our users to download needed images without help from an administrator or the administrator having to password protect hundreds of folders/galleries. Ultimately, we'd like our users to be able to login into our site and download what they need with no further admin help.

Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you considered password-protecting the entire site? If you want your viewers to be able to download photos for free then enable Original as a viewing size and don't right-click protect the photos. This will enable a download button.
