Applying keywords suddenly different and doesn't work.

I've been setting up my new site for a few weeks now, and quite familiar with all the processes I've used so far, including how to keyword.

Tonight I went to keyword some new photos in my India - Jaisalmer album, and suddenly the wrench icon wasn't active unless I selected some images.

OK so no problem I can do that. So I typed in the relevant keywords for the group of selected photos, but there was no Save button anywhere in sight. All I could see was Remove All and Remove Numeric. I tried "closing" then checked to see if the keywords were there in the album, but they weren't. So I repeated the process, except for closing, this time. Still nowhere to save.

So I went into experimentation mode, and this time, out of curiosity, I clicked the X next to Remove All, and voila, a nice green save button appeared at the bottom ... which I clicked. And guess what, none of the keywords were there when I checked in the album. Of course not, I clicked save for Remove All.

So what's going on here? How do I save my applied keywords? Why doesn't the green Save button show up? And why is this suddenly different from the other method of key wording? I was down with that method, but this method clearly isn't working.

Anyone have a clue what's going on here suddenly??? :scratch

The "Save" button will appear if you simply click enter after you enter a new keyword. You'll see it toward the bottom of the screen. For more details about the new In-SmugMug Photo Editor and its functions please see the following link: http://news.smugmug.com/2014/05/21/the-all-new-in-smugmug-photo-editor/

I just encountered the same issue as the OP. Thanks for pointing to how it works. This method is not obvious at all if you are in the Organizer! Actually, it's not intuitive to assume we have to hit the enter button to get the save button!

Anyway, I'm glad I just found this thread.

It would be more intuitive if the green save button appeared when a keyword was entered in the keyword box. In other words, the green save button should only be visible automatically when we start typing something in the box and when we delete a keyword or when the box is empty, there should be no save button oir the button should disappear. This would make hitting 'enter' obsolete and more intuitive.

Check post #80 on this thread for a coming new program: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=240752&page=2
And here's an extension which works now, and will, until the new program is available, let you use the much better Legacy system:
    https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/smugmug-for-chrome-beta-v/ifabodhdkjnhjbcdkdfjkboidifjneia
The Chrome add-on above was first only for a great backup program (good enough reason to use it) and the bulk legacy access was just added.

Thread about the add-on generally: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=240752

I am only able to add new KEYWORDS to my photo(s) if the NEW KEYWORD is pre-populated in the SUGGESTED: window listing . Am I missing something?
