Hello, is there a way to move files around into folders other than dragging them? I have reached my 300 limit and need to start moving files into archives but it's really hard to drag things around in the new format. Thanks for your help.

The only way I know of is dragging in Organizer.

The key is to click on the item containing the things you want to move. So if you want to move photos, click on the gallery to bring the photos up in the pane on the right. Next scroll the pane on the left to the location where you want to move the photos. Don't click on the gallery, just scroll so it is visible. Click the photos you want to move in the right pane, then drag the selection to the location on the left.

Can you describe what you are trying to do and what kind of problems you are having? It would be easier to give you the exact set of steps you need to follow if we understand your needs.

Hello Denise! It's a pleasure as always to reconnect with you! I am trying to move my galleries into "archived galleries" in my Other category. I have so many that it takes forever to drag and scroll down to place the gallery into Other. I was wondering if there was an easier way to do it but it doesn't seem like it.

I find it easier to select the gallery (or folder) by clicking on the folder, then to scroll down to the new location (the Other folder), then to drag.

It sounds like you are dragging and scrolling at the same time.

But dragging is the only way I am aware of to move folders / galleries.

Feeling good and stupid at the moment:
what is the "300 limit" about? 300 what?
And if you click a folder and then scroll down to the new folder you want to move it to, what do you do next to actually move it?

In Organizer show what you want to move in the right window.
Use the scroll bar in left window, don't click anything except the +'s to expand folders.
When you see the folder you want to move things to, from the right window drag
and drop them on the designation folder in the left window.

Oh, good, I did know that one. I thought a different method was being described.
And - the "300 limit" - is - photos in a gallery? No, I have over 1600 in some...
300 galleries? You must have 2000...

Guess what happens with a "300 limit Smugmug" google search.
    {smacks self in forehead}

"Each Folder level has a limit of 300 folders/galleries or pages within it"
