Fellow Dgrin member Stumblebum and I ventured out to a place he knows about 3,000' up a mountain outside of San Jose to photograph the Camelopardalis Meteor Shower. The shower was a bust, but I thought I'd share the resultant star trails shot.

C'mon Sam, you know better.....you have to hold the camera body steady.....and spin the lens as fast as possible! That's what kdog told me, but my trails didn't come out quiet as nice....perhaps I should have been rotating the lens with both hands.
Congrats on the steady hand while you spin the lens.

Thanks, Brad.
Sam, I had had both the camera and the tree mounted to the same solid platform and rotated both of them together.
I can't tell you all my secrets, man.
Thanks, JC. That comet effect was done in post.
Thank, Sherry!
