A friend of mine called and said his son's team was going to be playing at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium in Annapolis and asked me to get some shots. Hadn't shot really young kids in a while, and they really present different challenges. But the stadium is really nice, really well lit, and the kids were really psyched. Here's a couple that I got...

These are great. Nice job getting low to shoot on the kids' level. 4 is a classic lacrosse shot, and probably could have placed in the recent sports mini-challenge here. Love the shoe-tying shot too. You make that 70D look good! How are you liking it?

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

    Jack & Steve:

    Thanks for the comments.

Regarding the 70D--I have really been pleased with it. It was an upgrade after about 5 + years with a 30D--so really quite an improvement. It has so much greater ISO range and the noise is considerably less at all levels. The Autofocus seems much improved too. I'm interested in the playing with the video capabilities, but so far the only thing I know is that I have to quit trying to shoot video in portrait orientiation--can't seem to break the habit of flipping the camera 90 degrees.
    Regards
