More layout options!

I'd love to have more layout options.
For example being able to center a content block. Being able to specify number of rows and/or columns in a grid layout.
The way it works now, as far as I can tell, means I can't really control things the way I want.

The 'favourite destinations' part, i'd prefer to be able to to have 1 row of 5 thumbnails and let smugmug figure out the size, but even if i say a custom number of rows and set it to 1, if i make my window smaller it will flow onto two rows! (this part sounds like a bug)
Further down, the 'favourite artists' part. I want a 3x3 grid of thumbnails, center aligned. I've managed to get something close with spacers either site, and 3 separate content blocks with 3 thumbnails each. Again, this works until you make the browser smaller and it ends up with each set of three flowing onto another row, which obviously looks terrible.
If there are better ways to achieve what I want i'd love to hear it - but it seems like some more options for layouts would be great.
