Can't tether with EOS Utility with Mountain Lion
Oh, wise ones: I need your help (since Canon can't provide it):
I'm trying to shoot tethered with Canon EOS Utility on my Mac, which was recently upgraded to 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion). I have tried everything I can find, and everything I can think of, to get EOS Utility to work... and it's still a no-go.
I have the latest Canon EOS Utility 2 (2.14.0) and, since upgrading my Mac OS, I cannot get the computer to recognize my Canon EOS Rebel Ti. (It worked fine when I had Leopard OS.) I've tried Lightroom 3, which also doesn't recognize the camera and, besides, I want camera controls on the computer that Lightroom doesn't provide.
Does anybody know a fix? Is there a newer/older version of EOS Utility that will work with such an old camera? And, no: I cannot go back to an older OS, and no: I do not want to upgrade to Maverick.
Help!
Another possible option: Is there a free tethering utility that would work with my Mac and my Nikon D100?

It is a device that will wirelessly set your cameras controls, fire the shutter, and display the Live View image on your laptop to iPad - either Apple, Windows or Android devices. It does not support all cameras, but it certainly does suport a gray many of Nikon and Canon's bodies - http://camranger.com/supported-cameras/
