Ok ... so two questions.

Hi, so I stopped being a sissy today and mustered up the courage to change to the new customization without fearing that gallery after gallery was going to disappear into the internet ether.

Now, two questions (for now)

1) When I send someone a link to my website, say in Facebook, the website link with a picture comes up, the problem is, it shows THE worst photo I have in one of my galleries. Is there anyway to select what photo icon thingy I want to show up when I share my website's link?

2) One of the reasons I took the plunge, is because I wanted to add the blog feature, which I did. But one of my clients says she goes to the blog tab and it just takes her to the "sign in" page. Is this what it is meant to do? The one and only gallery I have under BLOG is set to public. Am I doing something wrong?

If your blog gallery is unlisted you'll need the /n-xxxxxx on the end of the link.

Are you on the photo you want show when sharing to FB?
For FB posting I just go to the photo in the gallery, copy the browse link and paste it in.

No, the blog is not unlisted (not that I can see) ... and to be honest (hides face in shame) I have no idea what the /n-xxxxxx thing you are talking about is.

I'm not sharing any photo in particular, this photo just happens to be the one that shows up when I share the website when I don't necessarily want to share a particular gallery or photo, just the main website address.

It doesn't look like you shared your blog page when you were viewing it as a user would view it. The blog link that you have placed in your menu looks like this:

http://www.nathalierosephotography.com/organize/BLOG

That doesn't look like the URL for a page or a folder. I suspect you should be using:

http://www.nathalierosephotography.com/BLOG

Although that doesn't look like a blog to me - looks like a gallery.

I will re trace my steps and see if I did something wrong. I only have the Power subscription, I think that only lets me have gallery and not pages.

You can have pages with a Power subscription.

The URL you placed in your menu is incorrect. Go back to that menu entry and correct it.

I re-did everything, customized the Page (yes, you were right, I can have pages, just didn't know how, lol) now that everything is just how I want it, the silly thing won't save my changes or publish or anything, it seems stuck. Ugh.

Oh well, maybe I'll try tomorrow again.

Sometimes if you have an error in an html block you can't save the block. An error might show in red.

In regards to the photo showing when you share your homepage link on Facebook, it doesn't appear as if you've set up a profile or cover photo in your user profile. You can set that up clicking on the profile icon at upper part of your site next to the search box and select the user profile option.

Note that after setting a profile photo, it may take some time for Facebook to update their cache for your site before the new photo may be displayed.

Your blog link is working fine for me by now so it seems you were able to get this resolved.

Looks great! I would suggest NOT opening the blog in a new browser window though, as the blog lives in you SmugMug site.

To change this click Customize--->Entire Site---Highlight the navigation menu and click the wrench icon. Click onto the Blog link and in the options turn "Open link in new tab" to off.

Did you have a content block open at the time?
If you did ... see if you bring your cursor down to the bottom of the block, and if there's a thin horizontal line visible. Not the bottom of the frame, above that.

Sorry if this is vague, but I've had this problem (I was usually moving too fast), and I spotted a line, that, when clicked, closed the block. I could re-open it, but there were parts of it that were not functional. Had to save/publish and re-open to continue editing.

I did not have html errors that I know of, as Allen has suggested.
