Coming out of lurk mode again (for a while anyway)...

A couple shots from an earlier trip to Natural Bridges in Santa Cruz. I hope you enjoy them.

Thanks,

Mike

Brilliant both....as usual! Colors, composition, all good! If possible, share the exif data....(I think flicker strips that out).clap.gifthumb

Thanks, yes flickr has a nasty habit about stripping exif info. The first one was 30s at f/7 and 10mm and the second was 15s at f/14 and 18mm. Both were ISO 100 on a Canon 7D.

    I'm glad you like them.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Nice shots, Mike. I love the sky colors in #1 but my preference is for #2 as it more clearly defines the main subject....the natural bridge aspect is much more evident. Good work.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Thank you Rags, kdog, Sam, and AZFred. I'm lucky to live close enough to places like this and sometimes mother nature smiles on us. Working in the Bay Area means that I'm close enough to run down there if conditions seem good. The main problem is that many of these spots are frequently fogged in. This is where it helps to leverage all the various webcams around to check conditions before heading out.

    Thanks again.

and rock texture in the 2nd are truly Amazing as well.

    Beautifully Done.
