the light/focus are quite nice and she quite lovely. Now here the issues:
1) hands hands hands! they are PRESSED FLAT against her body which makes her look stiff and uncomfortable. you typically don't want to shoot hands straights on like that.
2) her pose is straight on so she is just a single line..have her stand sideways a bit give the female figure a slight "S" shape..to help this, always have ladies stand on one foot (back foot) and turn slightly sideways. this immediatel improves posture and gives some shape to the her body.
3) lastly I would warm up the whole image. there is just too much grey tones in the background that make the image a little "sad"
Looks like you got a nice mix here...maybe a smidge less flash
I never pay to much attention to hands...if her face looks relaxed and confident like it does here, it generally all works.

Thanks, I guess I am too used to the conditions at the beach to not notice how "sad" it looks. I see the flashes of warm light from the sun peeking through the clouds. Before the edits it had a cool look with too much blue so I took that out as the sand had a blue tint as well. I don't feel sad looking at it.

Nice shot....sure she will love it.
Thanks. I liked how comfortable her face looks, it isn't a fake smile or overly gushing about just getting married. She looked content and natural. This was a very quick shot taken between family shots and then portraits with her husband, when there was a moment of just her by herself.
Agree with Zoomer - she will love the shot. Did you get any less formal ones? Those bare toes are screaming for some fun shots in the sand - with the wedding dress, that could be very cool...

We didn't have much time for that. Instead of a reception they had dinner reservations for family and friends. I wish I could have more time with the couples for these beach weddings. However, they did request this shot, they called it the "wicker chair" pose. Their friends busted up when they saw us do this so I guess it is a long standing joke.
