Price of download for commercial use?

How do I go about figuring out the price of a download for use in a brochure = I don't want to charge too much but I do want to charge something? I was thinking of something like $50-100 for one time printed use. But it doesn't matter all that much to me, just know I should charge something. We're not talking about a big enterprise.

I would just go to a major stock site like Alamy or Getty, find a comparable (right-managed) image, and use their calculator to find a price based on usage and volume, etc. If the image is very specific and hard to come by, you may be able to charge more. Otherwise, roughly the same.

One problem you'll run into, which many of us have been griping about for ages, is that SmugMug does not offer customizable use licenses. They have one standard license that certainly does NOT fit all. So . . . you should probably come up with your own and have the client sign it directly instead.

Has anyone heard anything about whether smugmug plans to change the way commercial licensing is handled? Other systems allow you to setup a license and your own wording. Wish I could use smugmug to sell licenses, but if I am going to have to handle the terms myself, why would I use the engine to deliver a file and pay smugmug fee. The whole idea is to let the cart handle it all.
