Shooting tethered to Lightroom
...recently had opportunity to tether through LR on my laptop. I've done this before, but it's rare, so far, that I do an inside studio-type shoot. First; has anyone been able to use Live View whilst tethering? So as to make lighting adjustments before clicking the shutter? I was in a bind for time so didn't get to experiment. Second; I was kinda shocked that the files were not written to my camera's card!? Using a D800. Any thoughts?

It is relatively inexpensive @ $29.95 and it's easy to create a destination folder that can later be imported to whatever editing program you choose.
Even the free digiCamControl is a better tether option

If you haven't already check out the keyboard shortcuts, makes it much quicker to go back and forth into live view if you assign one key stroke.
