What do you do when you see a Bee on the cusp of death in your sons paddling pool. You rescue it of course .
This bee was in the aforementioned pool and had pretty much given up. A gentle touch and it moved a leg. Dipping my finger into the water, the bee gratefully climbed up onto my hand. I let it sit there for a good 10 minutes or so before it started to move around a little more. Once it became a little more active, I depositied it onto our Camellia bush where it climbed up onto a dead flower that was catching the evening sunlight. 20 or so minutes later I watched as it flapped its wings and took off to wherever it was going.
Still very wet and Bedraggled, once the bee had warmed up more and dried off a little, it flew away.
