Automatically activate links - can it be done?

When I post a comment into Facebook or here in this forum, any link I have in the comment eg http://smugmug.com is automatically activated. Is there any way I can paste text which includes links eg http://smugmug.com into new smugmug text blocks so they automatically activate ie become live working links? If not, is there any other kind of block, or anywhere I can paste text with links into new smugmug so it automatically activates the links. Or do I have to paste the text with links into a wysiwyg web editor and do the code for them one link at a time and then copy and paste it into an html block on the new smugmug?

If I understand the problem, I think yes, you can.
If you're using a text content block:
- First copy the URL that will be active
- In the text block, type the wording you want the viewer to see.
- Then highlight that wording, and click the Link icon at the top of the block.
- Paste the actual URL, and then save.
