    Nice shot! Composition, framing and light are all rock solid! Something to consider would be to take out the shiny elements from black background all together......it would then bring 100% focus on Garza and draw us in! JMO.

    Glad you liked the garza.

    I considered taking out the water reflections here, but I wanted to keep the reference to the watery environment.

    I had just slogged through a lot of swampy stuff to get the foto.

    I can understand that....but I have still not given up on my edit....:D

    How about leaving the reflections in, and perhaps bringing them out slightly more to make the point, and clean up everything from the point where there is a feather sticking out above its belly......that would create clean bg, and leading lines of reflection, telling us....beware of the darkness ahead....JMO.
