Hello everyone,

Hope you are well.

I was wondering if I can pick your brain for a second.

this website sims.smugmug.com uses a very simple layout and have buttons by year and by locations. Also when you click on an image to open it, the info link is visible with all the info there.

I was just wondering if anyone knows how this is done, and maybe help me out so I can do something similar to my site.

Many thanks.

    On that site:
    • Galleries (By Country) uses folders to represent each country and has galleries within the folders.
    • Galleries (By Date) is the home page. I suspect the site owner simply defined page elements for the text and blocks of galleries for the years. When opening a gallery from the galleries in a year, the year shows in the breadcrumb - that makes me think that the "year" is defined as a page.

I'm not sure what you're referring to as "the info link". The information shown at the bottom of lightbox (after the photo is clicked in the gallery) is from the keywords for the photo. They automatically show with the photo unless you have added CSS to suppress them.
