Looking for a new layout

I didn't change over to the "new" layouts when they appeared last year but still would like to give it a go.
I'm struggling to find one that would make my pictures "pop"!

I'd like one that gives a similar look as my intro gallery but I'm pretty sure there's not one available.

Any ideas?

    Hi

On your Legacy site you have a text logo, a navigation menu, and a full screen homepage slideshow. These are all items that you can easily add to your New SmugMug homepage.

The background tab in the customization menu is where you can add a full screen homepage slideshow. Click customize > customize site. In the customization menu on the right click the background tab, and there you'll be able to set your full screen slideshow. Here's some help with using the background tab http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/1367940

At this time you have your navigation menu and logo in a left sidebar. Looking at your legacy site you have those items added to the header. You could leave the menu and logo where they are, but I would suggest making your left side bar a bit wider so the entire logo fits in it. It looks like 300 pixels wide for your left sidebar would be just about perfect. That can be changed in the Layout section of the customization menu.

If you have any additional questions regarding your New SmugMug site let us know.

    Cheers,

Thanks for the info. I'll look into those changes. I'm more interested however in a site wide revamp, making all the pictures screen fitting if possible, not just the homepage slideshow.

Most gallery styles on the New SmugMug do that. Especially since your New SmugMug site is set to the stretchy layout. Just switch to the New SmugMug and take a look at one of your galleries to see what gallery style you've currently set up. You can switch the style for any gallery via the customize > gallery style menu.

Once you've decided for a gallery style, go to a gallery and select customize > customize site. Hold your mouse over the gallery content and click the wrench button. The drop down menu in tbe dialog box that comes up, lets you change the default gallery style for your site.
