I had spotted a wonderful gnat or something similar, but it flew off as I went to manually focus the lens...

So instead, you get a fly.

    #2 is fabulous! Never seen those stripes before! Did you use any extension tubes? Manual focus? I want to get this close.....

    2 extension tubes, the 12mm & 21mm ones. Manual focus to begin with, then switched to autofocus to nail it. :)
