Composition feels a tad sloppy, don't like the chopped of left towards top and other stuff, the out of focus areas are acting as eye pull or drawing first attention, took lot of effort to figure out where the AF was...most likely eyes....if it was supposed to on fore-head, it doesn't feel sharp or clear....so maybe for this critter, side shot might work better. Keep it up!

Excellent series Julian - Gotta love that punk jumper :
Just to show it's all a matter of personal taste, I really like #4- looks like a strange head on legs, perhaps would have been better with more petal curve going to the lower right.
