Small robber fly

Having got a fairly poor shot of a small robber fly in the grass at Pulborough Brooks recently, I went looking for the same thing in the meadow at Highdown gardens Worthing and much to my surprise found them.
Only around 10mm body length they cruise through the grass stems looking for prey.
Asilidae, Leptogaster sp.

It was a surprise to me when I realised they were robber flies.
