Remove wording in gallery?

I am wondering if there is a way to remove the wording in the galleries directly below the image image when it's large...the one that tells what number it is in the gallery .... 45/345 and so on. I use custom file numbers on my files and all too often, I have bulk order clients who email me with the numbers from above instead of the proper file numbers below. I don't pull the files from the gallery...I use the file names I give them to pull them from an external hard drive. Does that make sense? Wondering if there is a way to remove that!

Now...does it have to be done on each gallery or does it work by putting it in once...?

It goes in your site-wide theme CSS, only once.

I should have said, done site-wide like that, will hide the navigation in all galleries - unless you previously customized any gallery "just this gallery". In that case those galleries won't inherit the code. You can add it to each custom gallery individually, but the code would probably have to be tweaked for them (Not sure how myself).
