Deer at Big Meadow

Recently spent a few days in the Shenandoah National Park in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western Virginia. In late spring the doe's bring their fawns down to Big Meadow to feed. They seem to know that the fawns will be safer among a bunch of photographers than up in the forest among bears and coyotes. Here are a few captures while the rest can be seen HERE

Thanks Hunter. The opportunity to get so close to a doe with her fawn was a wonderful experience for me. I spent several hours not more than 12 feet from one pair.
