I think on Sunday I started to see how my pages open slower and slower.
Sometimes I got basically blank black screen, no photos.
Sometimes when I upload photos, I got error message telling that uploading was interrupted :huh

Yesterday things got worst.
And today I keep having a lot either Error 520 or Error 525.

Messages lead to page like this
https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200171936-Error-520

This is making me a very nervous as page was promoted during last days a quite lot and now people can’t see anything there. Or if it opens it is extremely slow.
Most of them would not come back again to see if page is up and running. Or wait to see if something opens or not.

I have not seen ever messages like that before. Something to do with moving away from Akamai?
If so, I’m not too impressed at the moment. This is really damaging the work I have done last weeks :bash

Zege: CloudFlare is SmugMug's content delivery network (CDN). They help to make SmugMug fast worldwide by delivering photos and files closer to where you are. CloudFlare had some problems concentrated in Europe (but also observed in other locations to a lesser extent) a bit before the time you reported this, and the problems were fixed around at 00:20 Pacific time July 1.

The other problems you mentioned (slow loads, blank screen) on previous days were likely something else local to you. Uploads and photo views come from different locations so in most cases, if you have problems with both, there's something that needs to be fixed on your end or your ISPs side. In any of these cases, our Support Heroes will provide you with timely help and steps to help further troubleshoot these problems.

Maybe you can help me out by answering this question--previously, our CDN produced completely gibberish error messages that looked like:
An error occurred while processing your request.
    Reference #97.ca564350.1189063114.10ca5966

Now, our CDN offers somewhat understandable error messages that provide some insight into what's going on. However, some people find that more confusing than the completely cryptic error message that we previously had. Which do you prefer?
I work at SmugMug but these opinions are usually my own.

DJKennedy: Error 1001 indicates that we're unable to properly resolve your domain.

Looking at djkennedy.com, it appears that the DNS for the domain is handled by a service that doesn't have datacenter redundancy--both of their DNS servers are behind the same router. You should consider moving your DNS to a larger DNS provider that can has a higher level of reliability.

One scenario where you might get this error is if you can still resolve www.djkennedy.com from your location (either through resolution through local caching, local DNS caching, or authoritative DNS), but on our end, we cannot contact the authoritative DNS for various reasons, which is usually due to some network routing problem. For most large-scale DNS providers this sort of routing problem doesn't cause any outage because a secondary authoritative DNS can be contacted. In the case of the DNS for djkennedy.com, a single routing failure or other outage can cause DNS to fail for your domain.
I work at SmugMug but these opinions are usually my own.

Got myself one of these 522 errors just now, first one. Refresh brought the page back. Oddly, I had navigated a few pages prior to this without problems.

Chancy, have you been receiving any of these errors since?

Thanks for checking in, Michael. No. That was the only error message I have seen at all. I was going to ask - do I need to do something?
